I facilitated my ‘Zine-ing Shared Connections’ workshop, which was part of the workshop programme for the ‘Ubuntu- I am because we are’ exhibition. At Camberwell Space for Black History Month 2025.

I ran two repeat workshops. A session with young people from Spring Community Hub and one open to the public for all agaes.

Participants created a Ubuntu inspired concertina zine through drawing, collage and writing. Reflecting and choosing a person who has influenced or shaped them. At the end participants concertinas were temporarily linked together to form an unfolding collaborative zine. Acting as a visual metaphor of connection and shared humanity, that Ubuntu shares
